My experience with Widrick is more negative then positive. I did clutch repair with them, after 8 hours of driving I came to destination, stop the truck, went to open trailer doors go back and........ truck became not movable. What happened, clutch was ok, but after I tow my truck to the nearest garage, local mechanic diagnose problem with Transmission Shifting module. So, my complain is that Joel Widrick doesn't check this module, instead he replaced CPC that I suggest it wasn't necessary. Also I have to say that Joel Widrick doesn't even apologize for my big money lost for towing, labor expenses and loosing 6 working days. So wouldn't recommend this garage unless you have no choice.
I'm sorry you feel this way. When you brought the truck to me you had several lights on the dash and the truck wouldn't move since it had a DT12 transmission in it I hooked my Detroit computer with DDL8 to your truck and found it had an active j1939 code for the output speed sensor on the transmission in the CPC module. I checked the output speed senor in the transmission and the TCM could read output speed when i turned the driveshaft. So you definitely needed the CPC i ordered a new one installed it and programmed it and the code went inactive and the lights went out on the dash. Truck still wouldn't move at which point we pulled the transmission out and found that the Clutch was burned out (by the way it was down to the metal and it had no friction material left on it which i showed you when you came to pick up the truck). We turned the flywheel installed the new clutch and reinstalled the transmission. I performed a clutch learn and a transmission learn. which passed successfully. took the truck for a test drive and had no issues with shifting or with the clutch. When you called me and from 5 hours away and said your truck quit moving. We did a video call so that you could show me that their were no lights on the dash and that it wouldn't go into gear. I found a shop to come look at your truck and I paid the bill for the service call. I was very clear to you and your company that i would pay for everything if the shop pulled the transmission out and the clutch was bad. If the clutch wasn't bad then I would not pay for anything else. You and Your company agreed that was fair. They pulled the transmission out and found there was nothing wrong with the clutch or flywheel or any of the work we had done for you. They found that the shift module had failed on your truck. I don't think your statement about me not caring is true. I went out of my way to find someone to come look at your truck and I told them what we had found when it came to me and what we replaced on the truck. I also told you when you pick up your truck after I showed you all your old parts that their was no guarantee that everything was okay with your transmission because your truck had over 1.3 million kilometers on the odometer.
