Several factors could cause your truck's heater to blow cold air instead of warm air. It can be a Low Coolant Level or Coolant Leak because the heater in your vehicle works by using hot coolant from the engine. A coolant leak can also lead to insufficient coolant levels meaning there might not be enough to circulate to the heater core, resulting in the cold air you feel. However, the thermostat regulates the flow of coolant through the engine. If it happens to be stuck open, the engine may not reach the optimal temperature, causing the heater to blow cold air. If no issue is found with the thermostat it may be the Heater Core. Fixing any of these probable issues begins with a proper diagnosis, you’ll need do inspect the truck for the causes to the issue, you may want to start by looking at the coolant level, you want to make sure the coolant is not leaking first, because if its leaking that is where you want to start. If the Coolant is just low, you can start by adding the co ... read more

“Why Is the AC In My Vehicle Not Cold?” If your vehicle is AC is not blowing Cold Air, you probably are experiencing a cooling fan problem, a clogged filter, or even radiator trouble, but the most common is a refrigerant leak. If the AC system has a refrigerant leak, it means the refrigerant fluid instantly evaporates when it meets the air. “Why is the AC in my Vehicle Blowing Hot Air?” The AC in your vehicle may be blowing hot air due to various issues. Again, a refrigerant leak is the most common cause, as it prevents the system from producing cold air, or a malfunctioning compressor, which pressurizes and circulates the refrigerant, also resulting in hot air. Problems with the condenser, responsible for releasing heat from the refrigerant, may lead to insufficient cooling. Does My Car Have A Cabin Air Filter? This is a great question most late model cars have a “CABIN AIR FILTER”. The cabin air filter is in car’s HVAC system to filter the air that comes through the Heater Core or AC Evaporator to keep them from getting plugged. The side benefit is that it also filters the air that you breathe in. If you are driving down a dusty road you would be breathing in that fine dust that’s in the air if your car didn’t have a Cabin Air Filter. Another thing that happens is mice love to build nests on top of the Cabin Air Filter. If you never check your Cabin air filter or have your Mechanic Near Me, check and replace it. You won’t Know how plugged and dirty is unless you get it checked over. It’s always a great idea to replace or have your Cabin Air Filter checked as Regular Maintenance. If you are experiencing a bad smell in your car when the heat or AC is on this is one of the first things, you want to check. I ... read more
